Karl Rainer

Karl Rainer is the Music Director and concertmaster of the Nanaimo Chamber Orchestra, and a violin and viola teacher on faculty at the Nanaimo Conservatory of Music. He began his violin studies in Ottawa under Karoly Sziladi. Prior to moving to Nanaimo in 2004, Karl was based in Waterloo Ontario, where he performed in numerous orchestral and chamber music groups, including the Waterloo Chamber Players, of which he was a founding member. He frequently performs in the Vancouver Island Symphony Orchestra. Karl has three boys, all of who are aspiring string players.
