Patricia studied Violin Performance at UBC, and then at Camosun College, Victoria, where she earned a Diploma in Violin Performance and Pedagogy. She subsequently studied at the Toronto
Conservatory in its Orchestral Training program, where she was privileged to take part in master classes with such artists as Pinchas Zukerman, Oscar Shumsky, Iona Brown, and Menachem Pressler ( of the Beaux Arts Trio.) Patricia played in Tafelmusik when it was newly formed, in 1980. She went on to play with the Victoria Symphony, the Edmonton Symphony, and the Alberta Baroque Ensemble. Music and
family called her back to the west coast in 1995, where she played with the Vancouver Symphony, the CBC Radio Orchestra, and the Pacific Baroque Orchestra. In 1998 she won the Principal Second Violin position with the Vancouver Opera Orchestra-- a position she held until 2019, after which she moved to Gabriola, where she currently resides.Patricia plays with the Vancouver Island Symphony and also enjoys her group “Inside Currents, “in which she plays tunes by Stephane Grappelli and other jazz composers.
